How to Clean Kitchen Floors With Vinegar

26/09/2016

The kitchen floor can be one of the dirtiest areas of the home, typically made of a hard substance that bacteria sits on top of and grows at rapid pace. This makes it extremely important to keep the floor clean, as dropped food and other substances can quickly turn your kitchen into a danger zone. Luckily there is an all natural disinfectant solution safe for nearly any floor surface including wood, laminate, linoleum, vinyl and ceramic or porcelain tile. This eliminates the need to use chemically-based cleaning ingredients in an area where you prepare foods and enjoy meals with family and friends. For stone, travertine, marble, and granite flooring, alter the routine slightly.

Sweep your floor first with a broom to remove loose crumbs.

Pour 1 gallon of water and 1/2 cup of white vinegar into a bucket.

Splash your mop into the vinegar-based cleaning solution.

Twist out the mop with your hands.

Wipe the mop over your kitchen floor, repeating as needed until you clean the entire kitchen floor to your liking. Pay special attention to areas near the sink, kitchen table, stove and countertops where you prepare foods. Let the floors air dry.

Repeat weekly, or as needed to keep your kitchen floors cleaned to your liking.
